Maestro

The ledger — the only function that moves money, on a double-entry marketplace ledger.

What Maestro does

Maestro is the money-writer. Every marketplace event settles here against a double-entry ledger (the source of truth), and the portal views are projections of it. It runs on prepaid credits / wallets — buyers fund before they buy, sellers earn on delivery — so a settlement is an internal ledger move, not a card charge.

Settle-on-delivery

When a lead is delivered, Maestro debits the buyer the clearing price plus the platform fee and credits the seller the clearing price. Earnings mature through the return window:

StateMeaning
PendingEarning held through the return window.
ConfirmedWindow closed — earning is final.
PaidIncluded in a payout run.
ReversedA valid return credited the buyer back and reversed the earning (the fee is kept).

The platform fee is a marginal taper on direct sales (and a flat per-lead fee for a network operator). Full schedule: Pricing → Marketplace & routing fees.

The four surfaces

SurfaceWhat it’s for
LedgerYour marketplace earnings as seller of record — pending → confirmed → paid.
FundingFund buyer / seller-fee wallets. Irrevocable rails (wire · RTP · FedNow · ACH credit) carry no card cost; card top-ups add a disclosed pass-through surcharge.
NetworkThe aggregator console — onboard suppliers/buyers, three-party settle (buyer − sell / supplier + buy / you + margin), payouts, and a marketplace P&L.
BooksIn-house double-entry accounting (a QuickBooks replacement): chart of accounts, AR/AP, bank feeds, and financial statements, fed automatically from every money event.

How money enters and leaves

In: a party funds a wallet (irrevocable rail or card+surcharge) → credits are held. Across: settlements move credits between buyer, seller, and (for a network) supplier + operator. Out: sellers and operators withdraw via payout batches. Card processing is only ever incurred at funding — never per lead.

Next: Galleria (where the clearing price comes from) and Encore (CPA conversions that also settle here).
